TheMainJam Posted January 31, 2005 CID Share Posted January 31, 2005 hey guys i am new here and am just going to have the DW6000 installed on saturday. my question lies in the install i got a call that i will need a dual Coaxial Surge Protector before they will install? they are offering to send me one for a hefty price 99.00 i have found one for only 40 and it has dual in and dual out. will this work? also they want to install it onto the same pole as my dish network is installed with an adapter.... its seems pretty flimsy.... let me know what you guys think thanks! Wizdoms^ Posted January 31, 2005 CID Share Posted January 31, 2005 When the guy came to install mine i already had one layin around, and he diddnt even connect my coax to the darn surge protector = / And on top of that he wanted to charge me extra to install my dish on the second floor of my house.. he wanted to install it like 10 ft off the ground.. so i got up on the ladder and installed my own dish, just let him point it.. haha Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

rlh24 Posted February 1, 2005 CID Share Posted February 1, 2005 All consumer dish's point to the south southwest. I believe all birds are about 300 - 400 feet from each other.
