I am looking to get a new monitor, the 22" I have now is just way too small. So i'm looking at a 28" monitor.

Ive had Hanns.G monitors before and they are really good, never had one problem with them, and they have great picture quality.

I really like the viewsonic aswell.

But i'm wondering if anyone has ever used or see either of these monitors. I can't find anyplace hear that has them so I can look at them, I always like to check a monitor out before I buy it.

I seen this in the Best Buy weekly ads in today paper. It a 27.5 HannsG they have on sale for $ 599.99 in the store up here in New Jersey. Maybe yours will have it on sale too. If not at least you can see what it looks like.

its time to get rid of your CRT When they loose a color, more are sure to fallow real soon.

EDIT: are you also sure that you didn't kick the cable and break a wire in it. Ive seen that happen a ton of times.

I bought a 27" widescreen LCD HD TV, and I just use it as a monitor/TV...I use the DVI port, but I know some work using a DVI to HDMI cord.

I forget exactly how much I paid, but it was like $500(was on sale), but that included a 3 year in house warranty..If it ever breaks in 3 years, they will come to my house and either fix it, or bring a new one.

The problem with that is the resolution is real low, 1366x768 most likely. the 28's there are 1920x1200

PC monitors are much higher quality then TV's of the same size.
