Even though I have tried 20 steps TCP optimizer I only came up with this result BTW this is with the use of PROXY without it my speed (DL) drops to 13 KB/s @ SiraComputer, do you use DNS.. where do I input this DNS server?! In the Canopy Setup Page or where?! What DNS do you use, if you use 'em? Please Help... I'm jealous of the guys here in testmy.net under SmartBro(KEN) that has speeds far greater than 384 kbps Is there any more tweaks that I could do?! I also did the Perporfance Tuning posted here in testmy.net Help guys, badly needed! Thanks! and here is my CABLE NUT SETTINGS use with the above test result.... SiraComputer Posted October 24, 2007 CID Share Posted October 24, 2007 its called openDNS: https://www.opendns.com/start i'm using mixedDNS meaning i put in the openDNS as the preferred DNS and the smartBro's DNS as an alternate, just look at my sig or in the tcp/ip configuration chose "Use The Following DNS server addresses" input 208.67.222.222 and 208.67.220.220. This Is what i got when I used my setting and DNS by SiraComputer 208.67.222.222 208.67.220.220 and this is what I got using my Cablenut setting and proxy...past 1:30 am Hmmmmm.... My conclusion.... It's one of the two; 1. Some people are lucky, some are not...(SMARTBROKEN CONNECTION) 2. Something **** is with our base station... @SiraComputer is your base station been upgraded?! SiraComputer Posted October 24, 2007 CID Share Posted October 24, 2007 @ExtremeFusion: nope still the crappy 384 he he! before i do tweaking stuff i make sure 1st to have a major cleaning on my pc [might a bit boring but worth it, thats if you care a lot for your pc, some people just don't know the importance of cleaning] just do an overall scan, clean those old chunky files, uninstall those applications you use rarely, defrag, have a clean registry.... etc! and drop a call at smartbro's csr you might not know your BS is having trouble!
