From P4 HT to Pentium Dual-Core

I was wondering if it would be possible to upgrade an old pentium 4 to a Pentium Dual-Core on an HP machine. I'd have to check the version of his processor to make sure that it's an 800 mhz FSB, but I was wondering if the fact that he has an oem board would be a problem to the upgrade/would limit it's performance gain.

Check out this article on the E2160 and E2180.

I know that it's a good overclocker but I doubt that the mobo can overclock anything. Note that I'm not trying to find if it's worth it, only if it is feasable, cause I could end up having a spare pentium dual core and nothing to do with it

most likely it will not work

What if I changed the mobo? Do you think that I could get a mobo that could fit in the system and overclock to decent speeds for under 50$?
