I called customer support and the tech said I am capped at 700k some. What is this cap and is their any way to make my connection faster? starship_troopers Posted December 13, 2007 CID Share Posted December 13, 2007 welcome to the forum BigDave, enjoy your stay. ok well the connection is capped at 700k ...that means you are not allowed to get greater than 700k download speeds. if your paying for the 3mbps download speeds you might want to call the place back and tell them your paying for the 3mbps package and you want your cap moved up to what your paying for. because if its capped there is not a legal way to get greater than that by as much of a speed difference as you have. or maybe the cap is temp. i have no idea, but if its capped at that speed your not gonna get very much higher..epsecially not a whole 2.5mbps difference.
