Did you mean a 70 Kilo Bytes homepage or a 70 Kilo bits?

Anyways, I tried using 56kbps modem before...

Jeez, 10 seconds is the shortest time that took the page to download...

If you can get a better speed, pls. do it'll saves you a lot..

Hi, everyone & merry new year(up n coming)i am currently doing a CIW web design course.Bit of a problem @ mo(kinda screwing me ed up.Question: How long does it take a user to download a 70-kb homepage if he or she's using a 56Kbps modem?.Please help.

its on a case-to-case basis.

if your isp is still using an analog switch or V.34 analog modem traffic (encoding style), your speed for a 56Kbps modem connection is at most 33.6 Kbps. so, a 70 kb homepage is downloaded in 2.0833 seconds.

if your isp connects to or is a local phone company with digital lines that accommodate 56Kbps connections or should we say support either ISDN or V.90/56Kbps analog modem traffic, you can download a 70 kb homepage in 1.25 seconds.
