Roco Posted February 3, 2008 CID Report Share Posted February 3, 2008 Pipex customers are now being moved over to the Tiscali servers ,and Pipex staff being laid off , it has it's pros and cons . my Pipex speed has risen by 30% but I have had a few disconnects , and no doubt I will have to put up with the offshore help line , sad times for Pipex as it was one of the earliest Broadband providers in the UK,

Roco Posted February 3, 2008 Author CID Report Share Posted February 3, 2008 well I used to get the max of 1.9Mb down , now I am seeing 3.5 Mb +down , testing in the UK , and I may have had my download cap of 2 Gb removed , as Tiscali customers never had that applied , if this is the case I will stay for a while and see what happens , coz a 8Mb plan with no cap , for $26 USD a month would be hard to beat in the UK , BTW I never thought my old phone line would ever run these speeds ? I have been told for years that 2Mb would be it's limit , 02 Feb 2008, 10:38 Tiscali 8128 = 4008.Kbps 55% 79.66.89.140 776863 15 Jan 2008, 11:58 Pipex 8128. = 1941 Kbps 27% 81.178.101.134 763319
