My line quality is pretty horrid, pings jumping and ranging so I went into the modem page: 192.168.100.1 and I see that my transmit power is 46dBmV and my Receive power is -8.3dBmV is this normal, I had a 15/1 connection in new york that had a 35dBmV transmit and was just wondering since this is a lower internet connection 5/512

Just wondering... :smile2:

Not sure, you have me curiouse enough to look into it further.

Here's a comparison for you, I have 15/7, from TWC.

Downstream Power -7.2 dBmV

Upstream Power 46.8 dBmV

Look into the splitter, and cables, as well as the ends, make sure they are in good condition. From what I read, this plays a big part.

Downstream Power: good +10 to -10, best being 0

Upstream Power: 0 - 50+, higher the better

Edit: these are mine.

Downstream

Freq/Power: 681.000 MHz 5 dBmV

Signal to Noise Ratio:  36 dB

Modulation: QAM256

Upstream

Freq/Power: 36.000 MHz 28 dBmV

  Channel Type: DOCSIS 1.x (TDMA)

  Symbol Rate: 2560 kSym/sec

  Modulation: QAM16

I did some checking and it seems as if for fios, anywhere from 0 +/- 15 is good, besides, look @ your speeds, outta site!

That is fios right?
