:idiot2: This an example of "DEMON SPEED FROM COMCAST" :uglystupid2:

I love this connection, it is absolutely crazy with high crazy speeds.

I'm already on Comcast's 6000/384 tier and I cannot IMAGINE what my speeds would be like on their highest tier? I'd probably lose my mind not being able to comprehend that kind of speed :2funny:

It has caused slight insanity on my behalf since these kind of demon speeds are simply a span from Satan :haha: or whatever?

Share your speed tests with all of us ?

smartbro is only in phiilppines. that's the wireless internet that you're still wired inside your house and no signal when it rains or during strong winds.

100% wireless sounds super crazy :haha: to me personally.

I love that wire  :2funny:coming into the house.

:police: Comcast :police:, FOR NOW, is great though

A New SB5120 Modem helped my connection more than any one settings

Here are the GREAT 8 settings I have changed for my connection.

Please try these settings, See if these help you.

1  TCP Receive Window (RWIN) set to 128480

2  Windows Scalling set to 1 or YES

3  Selective ACKS set to YES

4  Path MTU Discovery set to YES

5  Path HOLE Detection set to NO

6  Time stamping set to NO

7  Delete all data for the entries for "Max. Duplictive ACKS" and "TTL"

8  Make sure, triple check this, that MTU is set to 1500

Those settings should be the gold standard for anyone using a cable/broadband connection as a starting point.

See if these settings work

let me know :angel:

Try to keep in mind that there are only a few possible software solutions to a slow/jerky connection.

If I were you I'd try to get a new modem, swap one out with your ISP if you rent your modem.

As I learned, you'll go bat crazy with all these tweaks.  :uglystupid2:

A lot of times it is hardware and is beyond your control/tweaking. :undecided:

So don't tweak yourself to death and go ahead and swap your modem for a new one

Good Luck and let me know how things turn out for you :smile2:

i had the same modem as you, but it kept kicking me off, so swapped it out for the new Arris touchtone, and i don't believe it is modem related anyway, why the almost 10meg speeds with ccs, and then only 4.4meg with tcp?

Download this file  http://www.dslreports.com/front/DRTCP021.exe

And change all those settings to the ones I mentioned in my previous post.

Reboot and then run some tests.

been tweaking with comcast broadband for past 5 years, tried default, tried every ccs files and my own ccs files, drtcp, and tcpoptimizer, the best speeds i have found is with my own ccs file, where i pull around the 10meg down.  have also done all of the basic system tweaks recommended by blackviper, and have comodo firewall, comodo anti-virus, spybot, ad-aware, and spywareblaster installed.

system is fast and stable, but as with all of us "tweakers" i am always looking for more speed, just thought i would ask.

thanxz anyway AxelRose, it's appreciated

http://portland.speedtest.Comcast.net/speedtest/index.html

they have test sites all over the country, this is for oregon, if you live in major city, just delete "portland" and type in your city, OR, google it, and once at site you'll see list of cities to choose test site from

My nearest site is Atlanta, here are my results.

Download Speed: 21644 kbps (2705.5 KB/sec transfer rate) :haha:

Upload Speed: 1563 kbps (195.4 KB/sec transfer rate) :haha:
