rich06 Posted June 11, 2008 CID Share Posted June 11, 2008 I had a very outdated router which gave me only up to 11mbps wirelessly.. just installed new linksys g range router. says i get 54mbps. did a speed and i seem to be running just as slow as before. do i need to either purchase a new network card or usb attachment so it runs faster. or even a new modem? Please post your ISP package, what OS your using, and the basic PC specks. Yes you should be getting much more then that, wireless or not. Not likely, but that could be one of your problems. You might want to check and see what the network settings are as far as " full /half duplex " .
