8800 GT and 9800 GT in SLI?

9800GT is a rebranded 8800GT in any case. There seems to be a rare chance at getting a 55nm part, but I wouldn't bet on it. NVidia also was supposed to be working on allowing mixed cards in SLi. So it should work.

There are too many maybes in there for it to be worth a try, but thx for the info.

A 9800GT and 8800GT can be paired together for SLI if both are EVGA reference cards.  The trick is that you would need to either flash the 8800GT with 9800GT BIOS or vice versa.  This means that the warranty on the one you flash would become voided.
