keith1178 Posted November 25, 2008 CID Share Posted November 25, 2008 I have a HP Pavilion Slimline s3137c and up until a few weeks ago everything worked great. Now the DVD burner will not work when I am using DVD Decrypter. I can still watch DVD's and burn CD's just fine but when I try to burn a DVD it goes up to 100% on the Buffer then it freezes. The device buffer doesn't move. Then when I try to stop it it takes like 45 minutes before I can even eject the DVD. As it starts it makes a spinning noise but like I said it plays discs just fine......Any suggestions would be appreciated and I would like some advice before I go out and buy another burner. coknuck Posted November 25, 2008 CID Share Posted November 25, 2008 My old DVD burner did the same thing. Sometimes it reconize medea and some times it wouldn't. Like you said it would take forever at the end to burn if it even finished. I bought a new one from Newegg and all is good now. I guess you have to replace them once and a while.
