HughesNet response to my BBB complaint

I dont think the number of days will effect it.....my speed was slow first evening after install, since then Hughes has added bandwidth but at times think the high number of people switching to the Ka band is affecting the speeds, and some beams may not experience the slow downs. Mine has been slowing to around 800k normally in the peak evening hours for a short time compared to the 1600k+ rest of the day. Uploads are solid 225-275k Currently would have to say much better the the Ku speeds.

Is this topic still active? Hughesnet is still having a problem so I would think that people being screwed over by them would vent hear. I'm a very dissatisfied Hughesnet customer and have gotten the run around so many times I'm dizzy. Service was good for about two years with only the occasional slow down. When I called, Hughesnet slicksters convinced me I should get Gen 4 service. More data that I couldn't down load, more potential speed to watch movies buffer every thirty seconds. I pay over a $100 a month for a service that only works properly 10 out of 31 days. After 5 days of arguing with the front line apologists, I was finally sent to the nest level technicians. They took four days to finally call me. When they did, I was told that there was nothing that tech could do and my case was sent on to the next level of non-sense which I now wait to not hear from. I've informed every lowly script reader and 'avoid the customer' supervisor that the problem is 'greed'; signing up more subs then the physical plant can handle. Just like clock work the system starts to slow at 4:30 every week day. It bogs down to a crawl and comes to a stop by 7:00 pm and begins it's slow ascent to useabiltiy at around 11:00 pm. I'm currently waiting for the highest of the high, the 'engineer, to tell me they don't have a problem on their end. I'm checking out the service offered by Excede to see if their lies are any more believable.

After telling me zero cost, Hughes tried to turn a zero into 199.99?  :protest: I caught this on logging into my account and immdeiately called executive dept. Reminded them of the zero cost we agreed to. After 4days my plan was finnally upgraded....hopefully it hangs at this during the later evening hours?

I have Hughes net been a customer for 4 years ,I finally upgraded to the gen 4 and there new modem HT1100 I get download speeds of around 9 Mbps with testmy, net and speedtest.net  my upload speeds hit 2 Mbps ,now this is with my android phone through the wifi ( the cheapest belkin router ) and my iPad get the same but there are peak times when those speeds do not apply ,and what I wanted was an Internet with unlimited data so I can watch Netflix ,Hulu plus ,and wwe network ,and the free channels of which there is a lot ,one thing that would solve there problem is run fiber optics from the dish to the modem and to the routers and so on ,plus give unlimited data I know what I pay its $110.00 a month every month plus my dish network ,I,m going to try my local internet but there speeds scare me they have unlimited data but there speeds are horrible ,if you have directv and have been a long time customer they do have there internet with AT&T with unlimited data and there speeds are twice and at times triple of what hughesnet is ,but I'm still looking if someone with the money and was honest could start there own internet system use fiber optics give unlimited data I would be pleased to pay the $110.00 a month because between the two it's breaking me .
