When I run a download test on testmy.net it averaged about 300 to 450 kb/s yet when I download real file I receive speeds of 1.11.2 mb/s. I have a 10 Mb line on cable. I have also used opensuse to test my download, again 1.11.2 mb/s. Why are my testmy results misleading - comments please. You might want to try testing from a site in the UK as crossing the ocean and running through who knows what connection will tend to slow things down.
