Network problems

Hey, I've been experiencing weird disconnections for my internet at random times. My internet sometimes goes off for like 2 secs gets me disconnected then comes back on. My current isp is Roadrunner and i've called them a couple of times and they said that there are no errors with roadrunner.

I run a router for 3 comps (including mine). I use a D-Link model. In my thoughts i think that either my ethernet card or network card ( or are they the same.. )

if any1 knows what may be causing this, help will be appreciated

To update your firmware go to http://support.dlink.com/

To change your nic setting in Windows XP (9x/me is similar) Click Start>>Control Panel>>System.

Then click on the Hardware tab>> click on Device Manager,

look for a section labeled Network adapters, right click Properties Click on the Advanced tab, look for NetworkMedia and change the value to 10BaseT Full Duplex[/b}  :)

You do not have to reboot your computer to see the changes.
