hey ark_keeper and welcome to the forum :)

download and install cablenut https://testmy.net/forum/index.php?action=dlattach;topic=1013.0;id=64

1st run this analyzer and find your MTU http://forums.speedguide.net:8117/

now build your own cablenut file https://testmy.net/forum/index.php?topic=1013.msg27520#msg27520

choose Enter MTU

then type your advertised speed up and down in Kbps . for you 3000 and 1500 and use a latency between 150-300 ms

i suggest to start with 150 increase if you still dosent get the speed you want

now click compute settings, and click CCS file download

save it anywere on your HD and click on it and click save to registry and reboot your pc

if you get problems with connecting to FTP, p2p programs, then change SynAttackProtect to 0 and click save to registry and reboot

VanBuren :)

Nothing is happening when I click the button to do your custom settings, so I used the vanburen ver 5 settings of mss1460 cable/dsl 3000 256(cause my stupid upload is only 256) and I now get :

:::.. Download Stats ..:::

Connection is:: 1386 Kbps about 1.4 Mbps (tested with 748 KB)

Download Speed is:: 169 KB/s

Tested From:: http://www.testmy.net/

Test Time:: Tue Mar 1 12:45:02 CST 2005

Bottom Line:: 25X faster than 56K 1MB download in 6.06 sec

Diagnosis: May need help : running at only 86.9 % of your hosts average (cablelynx.com)

Validation Link:: https://testmy.net/id-PGDLMK63Q

Maybe the 3.0 upgrade is behind, but that doesn't explain the 3 times I got around 2.5.

Ugh.  I'm really thinking they didn't upgrade the speed yet, or reverted it cause they had problems or something.

you have packetloss, if you have a USB connection between your modem/router and computer, get rid of it and use ethernet instead

if not, open cablenut, click delete cablenut tweaks and click save to registry and reboot

make a new speed and tweaktest
