Router Settings For Clear

My connection speed is ridiculously slow and from what I've read, it could be my router. I use a Belkin router and a CLEAR Wimax modem. Here are my test results, can anyone help me??

Download Connection is:: 237 Kbps about 0.2 Mbps (tested with 1013 kB)

Download Speed is:: 29 kB/s

Tested From:: https://testmy.net/ (Dallas, TX USA)

Test Time:: 2010-09-21 23:07:42 GMT

Bottom Line:: 4X faster than 56K 1MB Download in 35.31 sec

Tested from a 1013 kB file and took 34.967 seconds to complete

Download Diagnosis:: Running at 8% of hosts average (Clearwire-wmx.net)

Test when hardwired to the modem:

Test Time:: 2010-09-22 00:25:55 GMT

Bottom Line:: 5X faster than 56K 1MB Download in 32 sec

Tested from a 512 kB file and took 16.174 seconds to complete

From what you've shown me so far... I doubt it's your router.

Can you give our users some more detailed information about your system, (OS info, relevant hardware/software info... etc). Also, what city are you located in... and what is your speed supposed to be?

While we're working this out, leave your router out of the equation still... makes it easier the more direct the connection is. But note that your network may not be as secure without the router in place. Also, if you have another computer to test on... give it a try, direct to the modem and post your speeds.

We'll track it down ;) -- need to work backwards and figure out what it isn't first.
