coburncliff Posted June 22, 2018 CID Share Posted June 22, 2018 I reconnected my Dish Network broadband and was told it is no longer HughesNet but, is now using ViaSat. Does anyone know what kind of connection speeds I should be getting? I did the speed test through Test my.net and showed 6.3 mb download. Didn't check the upload yet. bth Posted October 9, 2018 CID Share Posted October 9, 2018 (edited) I've been on dish for 5yrs and speed varies greatly and is rarely near the 25mbps they advertise. I use linux mint mate, and firefox and cromium are equally erratic and slow. been running the test my 12hr speed test on both browsers to compare and the browsers and os don't seem to be the problem. I was on cable w/ 50mbps speed and all was good a little over 5yrs ago.
