Several months (and a couple reimages) ago I found a website that offered an application that would run automated speed tests at configured intervals on multiple protocols and services. The anonymous data would be sent back to the organization for study. I believe it was some kind of educational internet research organization. Does this sound familiar to anyone? And the anonymous data is logged for research. By everyone. Sorry, I haven't heard of the other project.
