welcome to the forum stevesa :hello:

ampz, maybe consider replacing your cable...get cat-5e or cat-6...

i had the cat5 cables. 1-3ft.(comp1, 1ft away from router)), 1-10ft. (PS2) 1-75ft.,(Xbox) and 1-150ft.(comp2) I replaced all with cat6 cable came out pretty cheap (way cheaper than best buy). i got them from this site:

and like i said before wired is BETTER than wireless  :D

i am on a cable modem to belkin f5d7230-4  router  with a belkin wireless usb adapter seems the wireless pc is slightly slow. .  i was thinking about just buying a 50ft network cable and running it wired? which way do u think i would get the best performance??  which is the best network cable to buy??

what is the speed of your internet most usb adpters have usb1.0 ports instead of upb 2.0 ports

1.0=12 megs

2.0=400 megs
