WOW Seems need daily modem reset.

Recommended Posts

Seem sfor some reason daily I find I need to restart my Modem/Gateway as speed goes into toilet.

Like todays test I think I am 1/2 Download speed and 1/10 upload of normal lately.

I get a ton of uncorectable Codewords listed to I have no Idea Why or what that is and I trust

the answers I would get from xfinity as much as I trust the government.

Also anyone noticed slower speeds when say an Iphone or Ipad is connected

I should sayhigher ping rather then speed.

Even though the 5 Ghz AC connection has 1 connected device ( this One) seems ping goes way up with those devices connected even if idle.

Probably has to do with the Gateway to xfinity connection rather the the Wifi.

Reply Text: I'm not sure how relevant this is, but I once had a router that claimed to evenly distribute data between the wired connections and wireless connections. I was not happy to find that out and looked for a way to turn it off, finding none. I wanted that OFF since the thought of some guest sitting on the back porch listening to music on their phone might interfere with  a critical download or a lengthy render from a subscribed App --- well, you get the idea, right?

So you may or may not be experiencing your router doing you a favor - with some load balancing feature or hidden fairness algorithm like mine had before I slung it out into the yard.?

Oh, and btw, you should absolutely not need to reboot that device everyday.
