Rapid degradation of download speed captured during one-hour test period this morning (DSL Modulation set to ADSL2+).

Only solution is to set DSL Modulation to G.dmt.

This is counter-intuitive. Perhaps something to do with 12.5% packet loss on first hop after my router i.e. in the 1 km of copper between my router and the DSLAM in the exchange. Perhaps the 19.8 dBm DSL Transmit Power boost on G.dmt.

Would like to know if other copper users who live > 1 km from DSLAM are also getting very slow download speeds most of the time when DSL Modulation set to ADSL2+ or Multimode but much better download speeds when DSL Modulation set to Q.dmt.
