Test stalls at 100%

Hi,

for some weeks now the download component of the combined test has been stalling after reaching 100%. The process initial tests to determine the optimum download size run through fine, at which point the download speed test itself runs and reaches 100%, at which point the process stalls for anywhere between 15secs and a minute or more. 

Specs follow...

Win 11, 16GB ram, SSD, 

Ethernet or Wifi to Router

Vodafone UK broadband, up to 65Mbps/20Mbps FTC

 

I had experienced this before, some years before the pandemic, I don't recall how many! The problem persisted for weeks then too, then mysteriously cleared itself.

My phone WiFi hotspot with Verizon straight talk stalls also off and on. My 4g download speed be varying between 3mb to 20mb The wide variation may be the cause. When the download speed is between 5mb to 18mb then there isn’t a stall at when the test reaches 100%

Thanks Haro, sounds like you could be right with your varying speed thing going on. My test passes fine when I connect via 4g or 5g, but it acts up when I'm connected via the WiFI or direct wired to my router. I've tried swapping routers, checking with provider, even had friends try with the same result. It's vexxing me but i'm not turning to drink just yet!
