maybe i have the wrong idea about my speed

i am paying for  dsl 768/256 download/ upload speed

when i go t o download something say from download.com

it downloads at 80kbs ......is this right or should it be higher?

do i need to contact my provider and have them fix it?

Do a speed test and Post results, 80-120kbs should be good for you... Who is you service provider??

I am on Alltels Ultra DSL, 3.0MBS down and 384kbs UP and im lovin it    Like i said do a test and post results and we'll go from their.

Might be cause you are to far away from the central office. same thing happened to me, you should really contact you ISP if your speeds are that slow. your not getting what you payied for. but ya i would call see if they can do anything for you. Or you cant ask for help here they will show you what to do

i tested it a couple of times some where faster some were slower

i was expecting it to download at around 768

would do a couple of things; this is for Windows XP users.

I would first try tweaking your settings using these tweaks.
