lat/lon vs zipcode

Recommended Posts

I know the installer used the zipcode only to get pointing directions etc. The zipcode at our location covers miles and miles and miles. If I manually enter the lat / lon numbers and re-peak the ant, will I need DW to do anything on their end? I'm hoping I can adjust for best sig, adjust for highest ACP, and lock things down without any intervention needed on their part.

Is that so?

Thanks!

OK, now that you all have said that I understand where I was confused.  I'm still going to re-peak it.  I know they don't like that, but the install was pretty marginal, and I have a Birdog meter and an OPI, so what the heck.  Everything else about the install was poor (no grounding, signal in low 50's  etc.), so I have no confidence that the peaking was done correctly.

Thanks again, you guys always make me think...that's good.
