ok whats fire fox does it replace internet explorer or what ??

firefox is a browser

ie is a browser

there are other browsers - opera - netscape

everyone uses what they like best

it is an ongoing battle and will be forever as to which one is the best

My stats with Firefox, using 1 MB Cable Modem (I'm running a Mac using OS X):

Download Speed is:: 109 kB/s

Bottom Line:: 16X faster than 56K 1MB download in 9.39 sec

Diagnosis: Awesome! 20% + : 33.83 % faster than the average for host (com.ar)

I've got Safari, Camino, Firefox, Mozilla, Opera and Internet Explorer, and I use NetNewsWire (RSS reader) as a browser too.

For Mac users IE was never a good choice, specially after Netscape came to the scene (I'm talking about ancient history).

And now, since december 31,  no more support or developmet for IE for Mac, something expected, IE is the same version for Mac since a couple of years ago.

install fasterfox plugin and see what happens to your speeds.  also do you have the newest firefox(1.5) cause i gained 50 kb from that alone and it was already faster than IE for me
