gotmilk Posted April 26, 2005 Author CID Share Posted April 26, 2005 About 20-25 PC-s I think, it's not a big city type gaming center, just a lagre town type, our city only has a population of about 50,000 so we don't need a huge gaming center. The owner of the gaming center doesn't make enough money off the place to get anything faster than that, he actually LOSES money off it, he doesn't even break even, but still, those are about the fastest speeds I've seen from anyone here in Conway. Most people here are either on 56K (my friend who lives outside of town actually gets 22K ) or on the conwaycorp basic service (like me) which is advertised at 2024/128 (costs $29.99 a month), and a few people downtown have SBC DSL. I don't know anyone on the conwaycorp premium service because it costs an extra $30 and it's not worth the money for the small speed boost you get (3048/384). There is a sort of lan place inside of "Family Fun Center", which is an arcade place but the computers are terrible and the prices aren't great. You have 50,000 in your city and Omaha and the surrounding areas probably has about 500,000 yet we don't have a single Gaming Center....... But they just switched to SBC DSL a few months ago from conwaycorp premium, so it wasn't that far back unless SBC has some deal arranged with the cortex that I don't know about.
