Newbie needs advice

Forgive me I'm a newbie here. The test seems to indicate i need help - any advice please.

Download Speed is:: 54 kB/s

Test Time:: Sat Apr 30 07:22:20 UTC+0100 2005

Bottom Line:: 8X faster than 56K 1MB download in 18.96 sec

Diagnosis: May need help : running at only 67.53 % of your hosts average (btopenworld.com)

craghopper: There are not to many of the experts online right now .I can tell you they are going to ask the type of connection you have ,the connection speed your ISP is selling you,your OS,& tweaks you may have already applied.

I will assume you are running Windows XP (if not I will add the information later)

Windows XP registry patches (only install the patches that apply to you)

If you are running a router try testing your connection with the modem connected directly to your system.
