Slower Posted May 12, 2005 CID Report Share Posted May 12, 2005 The installer should install a grounding block (about 1 inch square) at the antenna. The 2 cables from the modem go through it with connections on each side. The block has a screw clamp for a 10 or 12 gauge copper wire. That copper wire should be attached to a ground rod or an underground metal pipe. The idea is to give static electricity a path to earth so it doesn't interfere with the transmitter and modem.
