jadesand Posted May 11, 2005 CID Share Posted May 11, 2005 Can anyone tell me how to configure norton correctly? I have noticed that my speed drops dramatically when it is turned on. Turn it off and I have went as high as 4.6 mps. There should be a way to configure it to keep those speeds up, shouldn't there? coknuck Posted May 11, 2005 CID Share Posted May 11, 2005 I don't think you can reconfigure norton. It has to process every thing comming in for viruses and that will slow your speeds down. Azag Posted May 11, 2005 CID Share Posted May 11, 2005 Norton and Security is an oxymoron I think while reading this thread I stubbed my brain because my ears are bleeding and I have a migraine now. My personal solution of choice would be to delete all traces of Symantec Norton from my system and try something else but that's just me...
