php Posted May 11, 2005 CID Share Posted May 11, 2005 I keep mine on, but i have a surge protector, UPS, and another surge protector inbetween my computer and the wall... without a good surge protector you should definitely unplug it... If the power goes out then comes back on, then I will usually leave my computer off until the weather calms down. Actually I might not, all I know is the computer and everything is plugged into a powerstrip, but I'm not sure if that powerstrip has a surge protector . Mom, Dad and then 5 kids and I think that if we unplugged all the TV's and shut down all the computers during T-storms we might just drive each other crazy before the storm was over .
