Thanks Tommie..also ive found that if I rebooted my modem, router and PC every week it does make a difference...along with regular maintenance. Then again some people get the same or even better speeds by doing nothing to their settings. I guess its also got to do with the system config.  :idiot2:

Hahaha tommie...never in a million years will any computer 'get the best of me'. My own PC knows, I'm the boss, applesauce :2funny: I'll be away for 4 weeks in Chicago with the 'growns' and 'grands'  I hope you all have fun and keep cozy...I've just been upgrading some hardware bits and buying up some 'extras' that may be hard(er) to find soon...'hobbyist' that I am. Be back later [nerdly]:smitten:

I'm on the 10/1 plan in Wichita Kansas. It usually runs at 11 or 12 Mbps but the last week or so its consistently been getting 15 or slightly above for what ever reason. Iv seen a couple other cox test results on here that look almost identical, i hope that means they are upgrading us again.

Pretty sure i have the 7/1, and I was kinda wondering why everyone else is seeing these "powerboosted" speeds and I don't have them. Is it only in some areas as of right now? I'm in Omaha, Nebraska.

My speed from Cox Phoenix, I also use Cablenut. I'm paying for 7/512 service, and yes they have added Powerboost but this is freaking unbelieveable   because it's consistent.

  • 2 weeks later...

I have had the 12/1 Cox Premier for awhile now..just got a firmware push tonight too to my SB5120 and 'zall lookin' pretty good (for a change). Of course there's always *some* fly in the ointment but I'm going to bask a bit.

   = very, very, very happy with the Cox boost and a couple tweaks in Network/NIC/Advanced too I think...not to mention 5am Saturday  Download posted in signature here...
