Just in theory........

If, let's say you had a question and you googled it and your connection was faster than the speed of light, then in theory you would get the answer before you thought of the question, Right ?.......

So it would almost be like playing Jeopardy........LOL!

um  no.. cause cable speed is travels at speed of light...(fiber optics) it sends laser LIGHT through glass fiber... which is traveling speed of light.. if we figure out hoow to make it faster we can b oost our connection by thousands...and i know im only 15... dont believe me...w/e cause i know it's true

Umm..No.....  speed of electricity............Cable, not fios.......... sorry.......  Still pretty darn fast.  Although, my cable connection goes to fiber at the pole, but I will never get fios speed.......

Here are a couple of links on the speed of electricity.& partly on the speed of light.

Pretty interesting cholla.  That first site sounded kinda

like Bill Clinton.  It depends on what your definition of electricity is is is.

Oh well you get the idea I'm sure.

The signal travels at approximately 85-88% the speed of light in standard coaxial cable.

This is called the Velocity of Propagation; which is basically the speed of the signal relative to the speed of light.

--slapping myself--

OK - out of scientific mode-

fikester; That $155 million is mine, all mine!!!!!!

hey guys the military has been using satellite communication for years and there up and down speeds are classified so we can only guess what they acheive......but you could probably cook a hotdog in record time if you were within 20 feet of their transmitters..So the technology is out there but it is expensive and regulated ....
