:angry2: i have aol 9 and the 2mb package , live in the uk  is is my scores , our internet has always been slow , its not much faster than dial up  and streaming video is a joke , i have tried differant browsers no luck , secure sites are a kightmare , and paypal for example takes about 30 seconds to log in! aol says that internet traffic affects speed , but paying

Just a few things. I am from america so I can not help with your server but I can offer a few Ideas. Most seem like they want to tweak there settings before they check for other issues. First you can try this. Shut down your browser and such and run this free small handy aplication . http://readerror.gmxhome.de/ see if anything is leaving your computer or comming in that may affect your speeds. Go into safe mode and scan for virus and spyware. Unplug your modum and turn off your computer. Wait 2 min the plug in your modum. Wait 2 more min then turn on your computer. While I dont claim to know anything about connections you your part of the world I have to wonder if its not a issue with your computer and not your isp. I am assuming your running xp. Honestly is sounds like its a issue with virus and or spyware. Just my
