Also i was wondering which stats do you guys trust most. one from this website or the one from the dsl modem. b/c my dsl modem shows something like this

    Down stream speed 3360kbits's

upstream speed 864 kbits/s

so whish one is more accurate.

The Modem stats are provisioning stats. VZ over provisions in an attempt to "offset" if you will some of the inherent losses. The two stats will not match.  Your measured numbers are a tad low. Have you tried any different test sites or some of the Mirror sites here that may be closer and more accurate for your location ?

My 3.0 upgrade just came into effect about a hour ago. Here are my before and after stats.

Before:

Bottom Line:: 29X faster than 56K 1MB download in 5.09 sec

Diagnosis: May need help : running at only 47.85 % of your hosts average (verizon.net)

Validation Link:: https://testmy.net/stats/id-A56YXCZ27

After

:::.. Download Stats ..:::

Connection is:: 2878 Kbps about 2.9 Mbps (tested with 12160 kB)

Download Speed is:: 351 kB/s

Tested From:: https://testmy.net/ (server2)

Test Time:: Sat Jul 16 2005 22:34:15 GMT-0400 (Eastern Daylight Time)

Bottom Line:: 51X faster than 56K 1MB download in 2.92 sec

Diagnosis: May need help : running at only 83.4 % of your hosts average (verizon.net)

Validation Link:: https://testmy.net/stats/id-3WO9CBE71

And also, i would only trust the stats from a online speedtest and not verizons. My gateway also says i am at 3360, but that doesnt matter if i'm not actually downloading at that does it?

About ur connection, install cablenut, and if u already have it, make sure u change the settings to 3.0MB
