zonemikel Posted July 7, 2005 CID Share Posted July 7, 2005 im getting ready to set up a cluster i bought 3 gigabit nics i was thinking of uzing clustermosix on the slim terminals and then boot from network , i have over 40 computers so i dont think the 3 gigabits are goona go far i was thinking about putting multiple nics in them to get more bandwith if i have all p3's around 700-800 mhz do i need more than 100mb/s to get the full resources of the nodes ? thanks in advance for any help ps i will be runing through baystack 350-24t switches on the nodes that dont have the gigabits on the others ill just run crossovers from one puter to the next then uplink it to the switch ... if gigabit is overkill please let me know Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
