CodsterTX Posted July 12, 2005 CID Share Posted July 12, 2005 I currently have Comcast 6MB/768kbps and when i go to comand prompt and type in ping google.com i average around 50. when and if my area does get fios would my ping be lower? the thing is i like to play online games and host them but people just seem to keep complaing about lag on my connection and i dont know why i mean 768kbps up should be fine for up to like 14 people or so. xs1 Posted July 12, 2005 CID Share Posted July 12, 2005 Right now with fios it really depends. My friend down the road has fios, and his pings are worse then mine on RR/Earthlink 5/386. So unless you get it, its real hard to tell. Some people have 3 ping to here, and others have 35 . So .. yea its more of a "who knows ".
