The number of people on in one geographical unit has nothing to do with the speed of the networks. It's the routing, and bandwidth available. It's more like, the more networks cram users onto the same routing, the less available bandwidth there is. Also, how about NYC? Thats nice he probl got a fast dsl connection at home, here in sweden we have dsl up to 26 Mbps down and 1 Mbps up. 20 bucks probl is alot of money in korea, ask him what a average middle class employe earn every month in USD. These days giganetworks is not very rare, so its probl true hes school is connected to that. Here in sweden we have a giganetwork for all our universitys, they have a woldrecord with sprintlink in transfer speed. How about this?
