I have tried cablenut for a while. When I first tried it I had 4mbps comcast plan. It took me forever to get the correct settings for my cablenut and once i did the speed increased a lil but I had such bad packet loss from it that my mmorpgs etc. were lagging horribly and i had to get rid of it. I now have the 8 mbps /768k plan and have tried cablenut once again with no luck. Speeds are way slower with cablenut then without. Is it something I'm doing wrong or do some of you peopel have the same problem im having? Maybe this is a stupid question but im not sure. I just dont get any benifit out of using the program. I wish it worked for me!!!!!!! :(

Same here - no speed increase with cablenut, and, in some templates it slightly decreased my dl speeds. WindowsXP defaults so far have been the best (with exception of if I insert a wireless NIC then XP doesn't apply the correct RWIN so that I have to do manually to around 65K). I'm running XP Pro sp2 and have Earthlink/TimeWarner cable 5M/368K service.

Same here, I have tried all different settings, but best without tweaks.

BTW, I am talking to mom on Skype right now, so speed results are lower:

Well, it helps increase 95% of broadband connection speeds, but for some reason it does not help me.

No big deal, obviously, I am happy where I am.

BTW, you shouldn't need to un-install Cable Nut, just click "Delete Cable Nut Tweaks".

Who knows, it may help in the future, or someone may come up with settings that will help your speeds.

Yeah, cablenut did not work for me either, it slowed my connection down a lot.  My ISP recently upgraded me to 3000/256.  When I still had 2048/128, I always got 1995-2005 Kbps down and 125-129 Kbps up.  I installed cablenut and used the 2000/128 settings and it slowed me down to about 1750 down and 118 up.  I kept the cablenut tweaks for a few more days just to make sure it wasn't some wierd problem with my ISP, I still kept getting the same results.  So I removed the cablenut tweaks and rebooted my computer and my speeds were back to normal.  I could try tweaking with my new speeds, but I'm satisfied with what I've got and I don't want to mess it up.
