Mmmmmmmm.... "Diagnosis: May need help" Um... DEFINATELY needs help. At early afternoon, Pacific time (I'm in Cali XP), internet began to slowdown. Now it's gotten ALOT worse. Obviously. I think it's comcast. I used my other computers on the network and they are as well slow. I power cycled my modem. Didn't help. I have a friend who lives close to me, he is fine. Is ANYONE having an internet slowdown?  :icon_pale: <-- My internet speed

That's what it USED to be. Now it's the 27kbs...  :shock:

It's a motorola surfboard SB2150. It worked completely fine, we registered it with Comcast,etc...

We bought one because the 2 year old Rented RCA Modem decided to die on us randomly, so we bought this one.

I'm in the BayArea.

reproted  8/2/2005 1:43:00 PM, I do show we are having an issue with slow speeds and intermittant connectivity outage in your area.  We are aware of the problem and are working to resolve it now.  The technicians are working to correct this.  There is no estimate for when this will be resolved.  It shouldn't take very long though.  I apologize for any inconvenience this is causing. Is there anything else I can help you with today?

Apprantly nothing is wrong with my compuer... >_>

I don't know about CA, but here in S. Florida there was planned "work" last night between 12 and 6 am. By 4 am the network collapsed pretty much, and since then I've had pretty much this:

:::.. Download Stats ..:::

Connection is:: 77 Kbps about 0.1 Mbps (tested with 97 kB)

Download Speed is:: 9 kB/s

Tested From:: https://testmy.net/ (server1)

Test Time:: Thu Aug 4 13:33:31 MDT 2005

Bottom Line:: 1X faster than 56K 1MB download in 113.78 sec

Diagnosis: May need help : running at only 4.82 % of your hosts average (144.75)

No one I know here in S. Florida from any website can get a straight answer from Comcast on this. One guy says the upgrades are going into effect and they are having issues, another says nothing is wrong and another says it's on our ends not Comcast's. It's now going on nearly 12 hours of this. I'm now content with the fact I'm on the new "56K" tier.

And hello everyone :)
