Pentium 4 HT, can you run it without HyperThreading ?

I got a question for the geeks out there.

i am running on a Pentium 4  HT 3.4Ghz, i have noticed that i can't use my PC to 100% of the CPU resources on one machine.

i went to the bios and turned off HT and when i booted my machine would not even give me the splash screen of windows.

does any one know if its possible to run a P4 with HT without the HT, just a pure 3.4Ghz as one CPU and not virtually splitting it

thanks

i wanna see if i can run folding and use 100% of my cpu

i just wanna see the diff from HT to not HT

i went from a 1.1Ghz to a 3.4Ghz and i know it has been a while now so i am used to it

but i dont see a massive increase in speed

i wanna see how it is without HT

You wont see it.. it is about 5%..and that is in games most of the time.. that or video editing.  You are more then welcome to disable it but you will not see any increase or decrease in performance.
