I would guess that seattle, wa would be the closest one. Is there somewhere on this forum  I could locate that, or should I just put that in my favorites?

EWO, the only beauty about the 7000 over the 6000, as far as I know, is the U/L should be about double. I don't really worry about U/L, except an occasional e-mail pic. As far as the D/L goes, I am not really sure, but it appears others on 7000 are seeing 1000 kbps. Just to be safe I would ask in 7000 forum. You did use the Rev's settings, right? That is all I know about TCP Optimizer's actually, is that it worked for me, so sometimes I suggest it as an alternative for those having problems.

Actually I haven't tested my U/L for about a month,but I was wanting to start a thread about U/L's, so that is why I checked.  :D

On the 6000 I used to download at about 125 kb/s. On the 7000 I download at about 133 kb/s.

Direcway says 128 kbps U/L advertised, but I thought the 7000 was supposed to get 200 kbps. That does look like a shame, 133 instead of 200, if I am right. Leave it to Dway to get more money from selling new equipment on a hoax. If I can get 128 on 6000, and you can only get 133, it just don't seem fair. You guys paid more. And you on the pro, and me on the consumer.

Surely this test is a mistake. However I do see how some of the test that tommie gorman was posting in the past he was able to obtain. This test was taken after a total cleanup of my system using the following...

WinASO Registry Optimizer

TuneUp Utilities 2004

WinASO defrag

FreeRAM XP Pro 1.52

Executive Software Diskkeeper

:?  :?  :?  :?

Here's something a little strange.

I get ready to do a Download test on testmy.  I go tools, internet options,

delete files, cookies, history - then do a 2992 download.

This is representative of my usual results:

:::.. Download Stats ..:::

Connection is:: 1156 Kbps about 1.16 Mbps (tested with 2992 kB)

Download Speed is:: 141 kB/s

Tested From:: https://testmy.net  (Server 1)

Test Time:: 2006/04/17 - 4:17pm

Bottom Line:: 20X faster than 56K 1MB Download in 7.26 sec

Tested from a 2992 kB file and took 21.203 seconds to complete

Mozilla/4.0 (compatible; MSIE 6.0; Windows NT 5.1; SV1; FunWebProducts; Media Center PC 3.0; .NET CLR 1.0.3705; FDM)

Diagnosis: Looks Great : 18.2 % faster than the average for host (direcpc.com)

Validation Link:: https://testmy.net/stats/id-KS7TCDFA6

If I'm just tooling along and decide to do a download test ( 2992 ) - I'll just

pull up testmy, go to download test - and usually get something like this :

:::.. Download Stats ..:::

Connection is:: 824 Kbps about 0.82 Mbps (tested with 2992 kB)

Download Speed is:: 101 kB/s

Tested From:: https://testmy.net  (Server 1)

Test Time:: 2006/04/17 - 4:21pm

Bottom Line:: 14X faster than 56K 1MB Download in 10.14 sec

Tested from a 2992 kB file and took 29.736 seconds to complete

Mozilla/4.0 (compatible; MSIE 6.0; Windows NT 5.1; SV1; FunWebProducts; Media Center PC 3.0; .NET CLR 1.0.3705; FDM)

Diagnosis: May need help : running at only 84.25 % of your hosts average (direcpc.com)

Validation Link:: https://testmy.net/stats/id-HKCPFZS08

Then I go to " MySpeed Bandwidth Test "  and get ( if my time of day is good ) something

along these figures.

D/L  750 - 850

U/L  135 - 150

If I go to tools, internet options, delete files, cookies, history - while still on

" MySpeed Bandwidth Test "  I still get the same :

D/L  750 - 850

U/L  135 - 150

Did a 72MB D/L last night - averaged about 103KB/s for the duration

No download manager, nothing that I know of.  Just a weird computer I guess

:?  :?  :?  :?
