I hope that someone here could shed some light on how to do it!! I read a lot on the website but I am absolutely in the dark. First you are going to need to get the correct firmware from the site.. make sure that you have to correct version! it is not uncommon for manufactures to release more than one version of a specific model.. ie. v1, v2, v3.. Once you have that you are going to need to plug in to the router via ethernet.. At this point you are going to need to pull out your manual.. You are looking for the ip address that will allow you to access the web based utility. It is most likely going to be 192.168.0.1 or 192.168.1.0 There should be a page that is dedicated to upgrading the firmware.. most of this you should be able to find in the manual that was provided with the router.
