Do you have there Cable TV. If you dont you have to call to get the upgrade.

Also if you power cycle your modem you might not be powercycling it for long enough. Try un plugging it for 5 minutes like Comcast tells you after you register a modem.

BTW: Im in the Port Huron area  About 50 - 60 miles away from you.
