no such thing as a pentiumD HT.

pentium D with HT = Pentium D EE 840...dual core.

and you better be comparing it to the Athlon 64 X2...

in that case, X2. not looking at the price...its overpriced IMO, but still a nice CPU.

Go with a sempron, one of my friends has a Sempron 3100+ and its pretty darned quick...i also have a friend with a Celeron D (the 2.8 GHz model...whichever one that is) and it didn't impress me at all...AMD all the way (though i admit i AM biased toward AMD)

:haha::whaa::haha: :haha:

and if you could show me on that page where it says it supports HT please?

the dual core HT one is the pentium extreme edition. surprisingly enough the pentium D and pentium extreme have the same processor numbers, but one does, one doesn't have hyperthreading. i wonder how many people have accidentally bought the wrong processor?

intel will also be offering some products with dual core technology and hyperthreading enabled.

i read the will be offering products as we haven't come up with a name yet.

pentiumD is dual core, single thread. pentium extreme edition is a flashy name, dual core and HT. and there is still nothing there, not even in the demo, that gives the combination of PentiumD and ht.

:twisted:
