Blunted Posted October 16, 2005 CID Share Posted October 16, 2005 i got a letter from speakeasy saying they oversubscribed there lines and thats why i was getting bad speeds and pings but i get no credit? how is that you give me shitty service and dont give me a credit and just say we did this and your paying. i advise anyone to get rid of this service and not get it if you were thinking about it cause they do some messed up stuff. they also took 4 months to credit me $100 for a mistake they made and i had to complain every month and they still missed it every month. DO NOT GET SPEAKEASY AND TELL EVERYONE IT SUCKS CAUSE THIS IS BULL SH** THAT THEY TELL ME ITS THERE FAULT AND I GET NO CREDIT. Elite.Pete Posted October 17, 2005 CID Share Posted October 17, 2005 if your talking about alot of money i would sue them and bring the email to court you would surely win for failure to provide paid services .... i had speakeasy DSL at one point because i wanted the higher upload to run an xbox live ghost recon island thunder server, they promised me it would be capable to run the server and it was not, i canceled my service and when they informed me of a cancellation fee i told them i would be suing for failure to provide paid services and they didn't attempt to charge me the fee. Its 300 to disconnect early, and even if you did all you want to do to "make" Speakeasy disconnect you they will still hold you to the TOS. They can cancel your service due to violation of their TOS and still charge you the disconnection fee. You might get out of part of the fee if you say your going to sue. The site speakeasy.net/tos does not conform to different packages. Its the same wether you have a SDSL, T1, or ADSL, its 300 dollars to cancel early. And if you piss em off and get their Abuse team on you they can kill your connection and will have zero compassion when it comes to the disconnection fee.
