Cox just upgraded Northwest Arkansas from 128/1024 to 540/4060 service and my speeds are consitant with the below results. Any advice or tweek settings to maxmize my throughput? :::.. Yeah they upgraded our's a couple of weeks ago, but watch out cause they are still working the bugs out. Although it's a hell of a lot faster than what we had before.. They told me yesterday that it's probably going to take them at least a few/couple more weeks to get everyone's right. I can test my download with my firewall and antivirus going and I stay at 4 - 4.2 but with it off I can hit over 5 so I'm happy with it. I had some on this thing, but all seems to be well now. I've tested several times with my antivirus and firewall on and off. The speed tests are about the same for me. My upload is capped at 800 download capped at 5040. Everything looks good as far as tweaking, running the 768/5000 settings with my rwin,mss send and recieve windows modified per your guide VanBuren. I'll include a screenshot of cablenut settings just in case. I'm also including two back to back speed tests. I'm just not seeing speeds any better than that, and I've got 5 meg service. Hope you have some idea as to what is going on? :::.. I can't send any packets larger than 996 bytes before the transmission starts to defrag so in reality you can't even set your (mtu) correctly or your (mss) so it is almost impossible to set an accurate Rwin or a snd-win in your tcp/ip stack. so being able to ping with at least 1496 bytes of data is very important also your firewall could be holding you back from reaching your advertised up and downloads.
