VanBuren!!!!Poor Download Speed! Newbie!

Hello evveryone. I will apreciate it someone can help me. My operation system is Windows XP Home Edition. My internet connection is 1.5Mbps download and 512kbs upload (not sure of the upload speed). If I am not wrong iI should be downloading at least at 180kbs. I live in Puerto Rico so my network provider is unknown for you guys probably, its Liberty Cablevision. i downloaded the programs athat are in the link...from VanBuren...I still don't wan to use them cause i don't know how to backup my registry. any help? thanks

hey jalifonso and welcome to the forum

you wont neeed to backup your registry with cablenut, all you have to do to restore registry to Windows Default TCP settings is, open cablenut adjuster, click delete cablenut tweaks and click save to registry and reboot.

I saved the resgitry as you told me. The problem is that i don't know whow to use the cablenut program...What should i plug in the spaces???

now click save to registry and reboot your PC

if upload speed still bad then we can adjust it for your CAP

i just got back and did speed test to see if anything has change:

Download Speed is:: 130 kB/s

Bottom Line:: 19X faster than 56K 1MB download in 7.88 sec

Diagnosis: Awesome! 20% + : 131.52 % faster than the average for host (109.215)
