I have MCI VOIP and ocassionaly have choppy reception on the phone. MCI says all it needs is a minimum of 80Kb, I have 384Kb.  I didn;t know if there were any tweaks related to this?  I have tweaked my download (through this forum) and on a 4Mb I get almost 6 so no complaints. Thank you

As I said earlier it is a minimum 80 Kb (kilobits) not 80 KB (KiloBytes)

My upload is shown below at 373 Kb(Kilobits) this is pretty consistant, this is 293 kilobits more than their minimum, this connection is fine most of the time, but "sometimes" it gets choppy and people think I am on a cell phone, and no one is on the computer uploading or downloading anything.

Thanks for you input

sounds like normal behavior of an ip network to me. performance is by no means constant and a little lag introduced by peak traffic at certain points across the route can cause that choppyness. keep in mind that to produce a hickup in the audio stream only a split second delay is needed in your connection.

I have never had a problem with mine. We have Vonnage, and there hasn't been a single glitch. I don't use any tweaks either, but I also very rarely use the phone.
