Couldnt have said it better myself FallowEarth :)

BTW..if all those dont work,you can try booting up with a startup disk,try to get to a command prompt,and try to edit your boot.ini file to the correct settings.If not..then you would have to reformat,and re-install ;)

ok so the comp is set to NTFS not FAT32.  I wasnt able to run the chkdsk until restart and everything came back ok.  Also the fixboot and fixmbr didnt work from the CMD.  Is it possible I have a virus that Norton, Spysweeper, and Adaware arent picking up?

Man I feel like a noob not being able to figure this out  :confused1:
